PE... roxxor!

Ahhz, second day of lessons only, and soooooo much has happened! Sheesh, I think I might collapse from information overload sia... hahaz! Lemme try my luck, here goes... *fingers crossed*

Day started as usual, with flag-raising and all. English class 1st. Ms Flo was late, for the 1st time somemore!!! w00tz! *haha, late-coming ain't anything happy wad. err* XD Got to write a 5 paragraph compo sia... 2nd lesson only! omg, i wanna die liao... next is physics, but we skipped it as we went for health checkup! Eyesight is as poor as usual, and back still have minor condition of curve... sigh. Oh well, can't be helped. Just try maintaining good posture and stuff in class lor, hope it has some help? =) *prays*

Next is coordinate geometry lesson. Taught by Mr Kevin Koh (he's not bad). Heh, pity he's just a stand-in. He is currently interviewing applicants for a math teacher post in NUS High, and when a successful new teachers makes it on board, he will pass over to him/her... sigh. Anyway, lessons are pretty decent, but a little slow on the teaching. Worked so fast through the entire worksheet he gave us! I really hope I can accelerate this module and the polynomial one too... *whee!* Then frees up some time in school for me to dedicate to... other stuff. XP

Lunch time, and 2 hrs free after that, cuz I dun take fine arts. Made good use of this time to complete my add-drop module form, plus race to the end of the coordinate geometry worksheet. Now, still got the class exercises and assignment 1. will do them as practise, for the acceleration test! jac and a huge group were playing card tricks during lunch. How lame. I need a quieter place to do my work and study (perhaps I should try pushing ms flo to make duplicates of the council room keys, and I will be able to shut myself in, whenever I like it! XD XP XS

Chinese lesson after that. Went through the worksheet, nothing big in particular. I find nic very very outspoken in chinese class, and he is not bad cracking up lame stuff sia! A pity the ringleaders mikel and eugene are not in my class. I swear I would enjoy life if I ever were in the same class as them yea! =D hahahahaz...

Then coordinate geometry lesson again. Heh, seems a breeze... Need tougher stuff to digest. XD

PE!!! WHeeee... Ahhz, measured height and weight 1st, then had a combined bball match with the 301 and 303ers! Hahahaz, soooo fun! especially 301. The people there and in my mentor grp 304 really have an affinity for the basketball man... w00tz! And daniel, could you stop influencing the other 304ers to carry tt aussie accent?! I mean, it sounds good at 1st with one person saying it, like hey yall!... But too many spoils the fun man, seriously... XP Got myself damn sweaty and worked out. Phew! Super cool. Haven't been playing bball for like, 2, 3 months??? Oh men...

Now home, and I need to revise. Acceleration test tml. Cannot afford to FAIL. Or else, I won't forgive myself sia... HAHAHA! XD XP XS

Lullaby for Love - Groove Coverage

Today is 1st day of lessons. Met 2 new teachers that will be teaching 304: Mr Wong (math - expo/log), and Ms Seah (bio). Mr Wong is pretty fine, cool, ez going too, but Ms Seah is... well, quite friendly too, but I shall use a term Lippy loves to use: control freak!

Whee... She sorta loves to get the classes absolute attention. Makes me feel so stiffened up or something... dear me, tsk tsk! Hopefully I can keep myself awake in class by asking more questions in future (and try my luck at catching her off-guard? you will never know... XD)

Nice to be back in the heat of lessons and seeing the teachers again! Hahahaz! I feel myself gearing up for another hectic helluva, hell of a time in this rollercoaster ride in sem 2, w00tz! Looking forward to more lessons (and hopefully, more interesting geog classes? XP)

Short write-up today. For the rest, I wanna dedicate this song I have fallen in love with. The song is entitled:

Lullaby For Love by Groove Coverage

Lyrics:
I see the soul in my eyes,
Once it was beauty, but now it's blind,
All that remains is the pain inside,
Dull memories of time that were life,

They told me time is a healer,
Healing hearts to bleed.
But it can put a smile on my face,
And I don't wanna wait.

Chorus:
This is my lullaby for love,
And I hope it will never wake up,
This is my last goodnight kiss,
To save me always from my tears.

My way of life changed because of you,
I hope you feel that my smile isn't true,
They told me time is a healer,
Healing hearts to bleed.

But there's not one glamour of hope,
And someone sing my song.

Chorus:
This is my lullaby for love,
And I hope it will never wake up,
This is my last goodnight kiss,
To save me always from my tears, from my tears.

This is my lullaby for love,
And I hope it will never wake up,
This is my last goodnight kiss,
To save me always from my tears,

This is my last goodnight kiss,
To save me always from my tears

Haiz... thinking of long *not-so-lost* love. XD

P.S: I know how to write my name... in RUSSIAN! *all hail mr salim for teaching us!* =))))

Timetable: SCREWED

2nd day liao... and the highly anticipated timetables have arrived!

Morning same routine. Go damn early, spend morning in council room, then after morning flag raising, it is off to the... wait, not LT. Yes, the student leaders were all excused from watching the movie "October Sky" (we watched it at camp) and so, we all headed for the council room to do more "Youth Day" thingies! XD

Shan't disclose anything online. =) thank you very much. All I shall say is, I just found out that johannes' mind can be pretty corrupted at certain times... tsk tsk, muz watch out for him, the poor guy. XP *no offence johannes, but tts really wrong man*

After that, went to hall to teach the school the "unofficial school song"! Whee... So nice right? The SLs put in loads of effort to make this school song reality (of coz, with the help of dr wong too! XD), and even the profs in NUS said it was GOOD! hahahaz... so fun!!! Unfortunately, the school seems rather un-enthu about it at all lor. Sigh. Where did the spirit run to? Where's the 'qi' when we need it?! Gosh... cmon school, we can do much better than this!!

Then, there was this young man that gave us a talk about doing community service and social work, and "enlightened" us about the importance of volunteerism. Right. OK, he's good, but I still found it hard to fight my sleepiness and concentrate. Damn, this always happens when I am too cold, or too hot, or too comfortable. Must... be... just... right.

Lunchtime. Somehow, had no appetite. Must be the Miranda Orange drink that spoilt it. Later on, I had no appetite for dinner too... shucks. -.-"

Finally... the long waited event: TIMETABLES! Wheee!

To my surprise (and horror), classes are held with OUR MENTOR GROUPS! (whee! 304 rox! xD) So, our core modules will be done with our mentor groups, and some of the humans/elecs/enrichments will be combined with other mentor groups. Ahhz... ok fine. Expected this long time ago, not too big a shock... The shock came when I saw the timetable complications that cropped up among the students. Mr Wee did say something like, "This settings will fit about... 90% of the student population..." RIGHT. See the mess that cropped up la!!! It's like, 90% of the student population HAD PROBLEMS with their timetable! Sheeeesh... this is bad. I got less free periods, longer days, heavier workload from duties like Students' Council, or House-related matters... GAHZ. Will DIE sia! Haiz... Oh, my timetable got clash oso, but it isn't as simple as like, dropping one module and that's it. Things get complicated for my case, and I need to see Mr Koh personally lor. Damn, I hate this. Especially returning home late *grr*

Anyway, got to go. So late sia. Night!

Sem 2: 1st day.

Aye, finally returned to school! About time, before my brain collapses of under-usage... XD Lolz.

Anyway, thx god my dad is sending me to school for the 1st day. So I arrived early: 6.50! *new record* wheee... hahahaz, went over to council room. dead comfortable it is, heh, especially with the air-con on! lol! Saw the youth day surprises... whoa, so pretty! =D I really "pei4 fu2" the planning committee sia... excellent work! The school will surely like it, and it beats my former school's (CHS) celebrations anytime, tts for sure! =p haha. Ms flo then came over and gave us the council's 1st morning briefing. Come to think of it, I feel closer to ms flo as our in-charge of SC rather than Mr Koh... yea. Haha, I think I have more confidence in her *ahhz*. Briefing was fast; 10min. It's a wonder why our own council initiated meetings are always dragging.....

Went for morning assembly, and headed for LT1 for the briefing. Ahhz, great to see the "big man" again (prof lai) hahahaz... *hi prof lai!* Gave the usual welcome back, and "setting of tone". Heh, that means more work lined up for us! -.-" argh. hahaz, so, onwards. Hurray! School has brought in new teachers! Almost every department in school has a new teacher, with the exception of Literature, History, Chemistry, Music, and Art. Not sure if there are anymore... hmm. The most immediate impact that slammed me was... the change in mentors. Our 304 hot favourite mentor, Dr Emillia Wong, has DROPPED THE JOB!!! that's it. finished. Ahhhhh nooooooooo... *dies* and now, she's replaced by this new chinese teacher, Mr Ho. Hope he's nice! A pity... He will never match up to our dear dr wong! =)

Also, the cirriculum and modular systems have been changed slightly: The no. of MCs that I need to take has been REDUCED! Errm, but all is not exactly reduced... The arts/humans MCs are reduced from 16 to 12, and elec/enrich reduced from 14 to 11. On the other hand, the core MCs requirement have INCREASED; from 46 to 51! crap. we are so super screwed la, damnit. Why muz they limit the number of elec MCs?! shit... there goes my fav stuff. =( Dunno if I should be happy with this overall change or not. Happy, cuz I get more free time to dedicate to other jobs like student council, or house, or even CCA? etc etc... Sad, as in my choice of modules in future will be limited like... well, crap. DANG. I hate this sia... I rather take more than required MCs lor! (as long as the modules are good! XP)

Also, I very disappointed with the acceleration options provided for the year 3s... Only Math?! Sheeeeeesh. How come the year 1s get to accelerate the other 3 sciences as well?! darnit. blame the lousy standards of the year 3 cohort lor... sigh. Oh well, do with what we can. I suppose the year 1s have a much brighter future than most of their seniors do. Sigh... I feel like such a failure so early into the new semester. darnit. This isn't how things are supposed to turn out!!! *grits teeth* I... must... press... on... get... acceleration... for... math... =)

Anyway, about acceleration for sciences for the year 1s, I still hold much doubt that any of them can do it lor. To accelerate math is easy, but the sciences? with so much content to cram within ur head within the short what, 1 week? siaoz la. I await the 1st person bold enough to try accelerating the sciences... and succeed! XD *muz get to know tt person. lol!*

Aside from the depressing cirriculum. School just introduced us Service Learning. Gahz. MORE CIP WORK. Gonna have to slog like a slave... again! And I thought I saw the last of it when I left CHS... looks like I am wrong. Haiz, oh well, I just hope my Service Learning journey would be one exciting one in NUS High! XD XS XP. Going to see the "poor and destitute" with 304. Ahhz..... OK.

Oh well, that sums up today. Looking forward to tomorrow to get the new timetables for this sem! Will see which class I will be in. Pray that I will get chucked with a class full of smart freaks that will constantly beat my test score or sth? =D Oh yea man.....

And DR WONG. YOU ROX MY WORLD MAN!!! XD

School reopens tomorrow...

Ahhz.... Finally, after 4 weeks of wastage, I am going back to school! XD Sem 2, here I come!

And the worst bit is, other than my reading up of the modules I wanna accelerate, I didn't bother touching the other subjects! That's it man, finished. I am so dead. Better go read up on it now... hahaz, before it's too late.

1st week is gonna be really hectic for the SLs sia, even more so for the student councillors! Sheesh... I hope we all are gonna be able to pull this off! (I am confident that yingzhen, mikel, yunzhi and nat are able to do this. Must commend them for their efforts!) XP

Better rush off to pack up my stuff. And I am gonna have to spend a ton of cash on new files again. The files from last sem have been rotting into "useless plastic" (ok, too much exaggeration =) ) Hahahaz... here goes!

Last weekend of June Holidays

Ahhz, the final weekend of the June hols has finally arrived... this signifies 2 things: 1. The holidays which I have so wonderfully wasted away are finally, well, finished. And 2. School reopens soon!!!!! Wheeeee... XD (see? I so happy... people muz think I am mad. =) )

Anyway, I shall write about what happened for me yesterday. Left home early in the morning to go sch for SL meeting. This meeting was supposed to be for the SC to meet up with the other SLs to share with them our plans for the "upcoming events" in school. Unfortunately, while other SLs have the "priviledge" of having to reach school at 9am, councillors have to reach by 8.15, and exco members need to arrive by 8!!! Gahz, so much for being a vice-president. ;)

Just my rotten luck. I spent too much time choosing the music to load onto my mp3 player, and as a result, missed the 165 bus that would take me to school on time. -.-" And the next bus only came like, 20 min later? Sheesh, ended up late, with 3/4 of the council (plus ms flo) staring at me as I sheepishly walked into the council room late. Ms flo asked for my reason being late, and I told her abt the late bus thingy. She didn't say much, just cracked some jokes to poke at me, and then asked me to sit. Unfortunately, the other councillors that came after me were not so lucky... Nat pumped 20, Li Young did 10, and errm, can't remember who else. *hmm* anyway, we found out that Mr and Ms Koh have stepped down from taking charge of the SC, and our new in-charge is... ms flo! *whistles* What can I say, but I was "expecting" this to come sooner, or later. hmm..... Did a SC briefing, before the other SLs all filed into the SC room at 9.

Well, not all the SLs turned up, cuz some of them were away, while others remain uncontactable for one reason or another (the SC will have to look into this), but anyway, quite a significant no. of them turned up, so this meeting wasn't wasted or anything. =) Yep, some of the SLs were late too. And of course, some of them were lucky not to get pumping, while others had to. Heez... Anyway, met "Grand-Master" Melvin Kuan again! w00tz! The big man who nearly got all of us killed at the Leadership Training Camp! wheee... hahahaz, what can I say? I missed him loads man, the way he walks, the way he talks, and his "coolness" XP whahahaha... He did a lil catching up with us, before starting his talk with the student leaders regarding the importance of planning. The councillors all have done the worksheet he's given out some time ago, so the exco were excused to go meet the former RJC councillors and "Masters"! (limin, kai xiang, wenzheng, and co.) Exco ran through our proposals with them, as they gave us their "words of wisdom and guidance" on how things can be improved and so on. 2 hours, fruitful indeed. And we will be presenting the proposals to Ms Flo anytime soon... =)

Lunch then. got 1h 10 min for lunch, which is longer than we expected! Whee! Hahaz, the exco took this time to go run up to the MRL to find Mr Koh, so that we could give him a surprise with our council room! Heh, turns out not only he turned up, even prof lai came along! WOW... It is indeed an honour to see the principal of our school to come down to our room to view it! XP Hahaz, shown them the wall with all of our paintings on it, and they seemed, well, pretty impressed about it (especially the section of wall with poker cards stuck onto it, lolz). I took this opportunity to intentionally point out one of the smaller walls which my sis has painted to the 2 teachers. Guess what, I think prof lai knows about my sister entering nushs next year! Hahaha!

After lunch, we all were discussing the proposal for events. (of which I cannot give details here, to maintain privacy). Got damn irritated later. I was given the worst job in the entire school for the "upcoming event", that's to tag along with the supposedly "worst bunch of people" for the day!!! Now... pls tell me, how fun can that get?! Gahz... I still haven't gotten over the fact that they (planning commitee) pushed me into this dirty job without even telling me, wa kaoz... Without my consent! Damn, and I was used to REPLACE a councillor who was originally doing my job, just because she requested for a change! Holy... damn *grits teeth*

Took us out to see the stuff for the event. Ok overall, as most of us councillors would have seen it before. Hahaz. Quite difficult to control the group, and I should say that I wasn't giving my full cooperation to the group either. Oh well, musta made yingzhen a tad lil irritated. XD (and tian cheng too. oops) Sorry about that. Must have lost my cool over the situation. =(

After all the SLs left, ying zhen, tian cheng, yun zhi, mikel, nat and I stayed back a lil to discuss further on how to "control the chaos" and "limit the casualties". Ahhz, didn't get anywhere much, so we called it a day (more like I called it a day. the others stayed back even longer to clear up their stuffs).

Argh, reached home only at 7.45pm! tts darn late, considering I have been out for 12 hours at a stretch. *haiz* exhausted...

Ok, my post may sound rather vague or something, but tts just cuz I am not supposed to say anything about... "the PLANS" yes... yes......... *grins evily*

wadeva.

Blogpatrol

Hmm, 2 posts in a day. Must be seriously bored. XD

Ahhz, I just realised, that the power of blogpatrol is simply beyond words! I couldn't believe it myself, but it seems that by accessing my blog counter's functions, I have been able to do stuff which i once thought was impossible *for me*, like finding other nush-ian blogs, and linking them up, so far, have linked up about 5 new people in less than an hour! *perhaps more in the future? hmm...* Lolz...

Oh, bedtime! XD

Continuum Hypothesis

Argh, ever since the end of the holidays began drawing closer and closer, my parents have been restricting my gameplay on da com... *sigh* absolute boredom yes. Gahz. Got to keep myself busy with preparations to accelerate the math modules. Oh men. And yes, blogging does help me cut the amount of dust collecting on me when I sit and stare into deep space thinking about nothing in particular (which, for some weird reason, seems to be happening more and more as semester 2 begins. Probably the school stress hitting me early? *sheesH*)...

Hmm, I didn't blog yesterday, so I think I will begin with yesterday. Left home at 7am to travel all the way to the IMS (Institute of Mathematical Sciences) Auditorium at NUS by public transport, and took me a whooping 1h 45min to get there!!! WTH... Nearly rusted to disintegration on the train and bus. haiz... and when I got there, I realised that the auditorium is actually just a puny, friggin bungalow converted into a mini-lecture theatre! I was staring it and going like, errr... Auditorium indeed. Couldn't house more than 80 people, that place! XD Met up with ying zhen, sam wong, jun le (fuzzy!), zhao ye, yunying, and lei lei. Then, the lectures by 2 'well known' math professors began. Turns out that one of the professors was famous for his works on the continuum hypothesis and its proof, so he decided to talk to us about the Continuum Hypothesis, relate how the Goodstein Sequence is associated with infinity, share with us more about the infinity research, etc... All in all, not bad. (but still fell asleep during lectures. Jun Le had to poke me in the cheek to keep me awake -.-") I dun think I learnt much from it lo, cuz of my weak foundations in set theory... Must really go study that chapter man. My dad was right. XP

If I had known better, I should have taken the topic on Indices and Surds last sem. I heard they covered set theory too. DARN. MISSED IT.

Today. More sianzation. Just work, work work... booooorrrringggggg.

Anyway, I wanna see if sms-ing will cut down my boredom (though I think it would have as much effect as me solving polynomial equations). Haizzz...

Coordinate Geometry

Today, went to NIE library with my parents. I borrowed a couple of sec 3 "E" math textbooks to read up on coordinate geometry (possibly intending to fasttrack). Turns out the stuff are quite simple, just the lil section of formulas to memorise, and the practice questions I need to do... Hmm, I must put in more effort into my work, lest I fail and have to take some "extra" modules which I already know like, 50% of the content?

Oh well, perhaps u can just call me kiasu for wanting to accelerate. I dun care. Gimme an opportunity, and I will use it to the max... =)

*short post* nth much to say today I guess... Lolz.

Esplanade (and chocs)

Ahhz, today went to the Esplanade to meet my fellow Council exco members to discuss council related matters. 1st time there, so was quite fascinated with the art displays at "the durian". Although I am not an avid fan of artwork, but I must say that some of the art pieces displayed on the walls, along the corridors, and even on the pillars, have left me staring in awe and admiring them... Quite an interesting feeling! Doesn't come everyday ya know... =)

The meeting was from 1.30pm to about 3pm. Felt sianz, so followed Gary to a special chocolate shop that he recommended. Wow... the range of chocs they offered there were quite wide and interesting, and look extremely appetizing too... *yum yum* Unfortunately... the stuff there are pretty ex (ok, VERY EX). It's like, $13.60 for 100g of choc?!?!?!? WAD THE... *faints* But nevertheless, it was my 1st time there, and I had to try them. So in the end, gary and I split cost and shared the chocs... Indeed, the chocs there are very special, and I have no regrets spending that money for a moment of enjoyment with those chocs! (am sick of kinder bueno and ferreo rocher *typo*)

Back home, and relaxing... *ahhhhhhhhhh*

1st time I drank red wine!

Well well well... I finally caught up with time... XD (written on 19th June)

Today's another milestone in my life (sheesh, I seem to have too many milestones in such a short period of time -.-"). I actually drank red wine!!! XD Lolz...

Afternoon, went to visit my cousin. Poor him, he broke his leg, and is left cooped up in the house with a huge cast from his knee right down to his feet, leaving only his toes exposed. *sigh* Strangely, his injured area is only an area just below the knee, roughly the size of an orange (or smaller). Heh heh... Anyway, toyed with his tablet pc, and he recommended a few new WC3 FT custom maps to play (like Azeroth Grand Prix, and X Hero Siege).

After that, went to a chinese restaurant to celebrate my grannie's birthday. Not absolutely exciting (I find playing FIFA 2005 on "Semi-pro" difficulty more fun than this), but at least I got to meet up with my favourite cousins! =) Ahhz, tried stuffing as much as I could too, cuz it ain't everyday that I went to a restaurant to eat eh? XD

Oh, and my dad was challenging me like, if I don't drink that glass of red wine that was "specially prepared" for me, that means that I am "not man". WTH la, anyway, no harm trying eh? So took a glass and finished it. Hmm, not my idea of a beverage during meals, quite bitter, a tad lil sour, but certainly looks classy? XD Ahhz...

Well, that's a record in my life at least... *sigh*

Decoration of Students' Council Room

Argh, another late post (19th June). But I hope you guys dun mind! =)

Phew, am feeling much better after venting all my frustration and heat on my blog. Now, am in the mood to continue life... And catch up with time for my blog i suppose... Am lagging too far behind! *gasp*

Anyway, today was quite fun, cuz it was the 1st time i did painting in school! Now, it ain't just painting FOR the school... but painting FOR myself, on a section of wall in the Students' Council dedicated to ME and ONLY ME!!! *oops. ego big time XD* Whahahahaaz.... Ahem ahem.

So, had lunch at Ghim Moh Market, before going to school to get down and dirty. Arrived one hour later than I promised Asra (arrived at 2pm), and had to quickly start work. Thankfully, my parents and sis came down to help me out a bit too! Lightens my workload and burden a lil bit =D. Yea, but after a short while, they wanted to help me get blue poster paint and oil pastels to decorate my wall, so they left for Bras Besar, leaving me in the council room with Donovan and his family, Asra, and Ying Zhen (who came slightly later).

1st, I set down to work on the posters I bought. Mostly inspirational posters, aimed at providing us leaders with the vision and driving force needed to become better than what we were yesterday! Ahhz, big words, big words, but still, they are laminated pieces of colour paper... XD XD *jking* Was rather picky on which spots do the posters fit and all, so quite a tad lil bit of time wasted on tt one. Oh, and putting up my VERTICAL POSTER on mindset was a hell pain in da ass... (but u gotta admit; it does look pretty ain't it? *oops, self-praise XD*

After that, I took out a spare box allocated to every councillor for his/her own personal use, and painted it totally blue. I LOVE BLUE *duh* (come to think of it, why did I even bother painting it? Err...) I actually wanted to write some personal graffiti on it, but erm, due to time constraints, I had to cut short my work... Ahhz.

Finally, my family came back with a small can of BLUE poster paint, and OIL PASTELS!!! *whee... time to "vandalize"!* Hahahaz... So, splashed my section of wall totally blue, and then written on it the biggest, most egoistic thing I have ever announced in a public area:

  • Really
  • Outstanding,
  • Young
  • And
  • Nice
  • Guy

Now now... feel da FORCE... *repulsion force* Ahahahz, lame joke it is. Anyway, also scribbled a couple of words below it like "Fleming rox" and "304 rox" etc. Lolz. sounds boring =(

Anyway, spent a total of 4 1/2 hrs there. And cleared up quite abit of stuff regarding 1st day of RMUN with Ying Zhen. I think I really need to sort things out with fiona, tsk tsk...

RMUN 2005!!!

Whee! RMUN is finally here! XD XD XD Lolz... *doomsday* Or so I thought...

Anyway, just after my SIMO camp, I am forced to come down early in the morning to RJC to prepare for RMUN. Can't believe my luck man. I have been running on steam nonstop, starting from 8th when I had Physics Open House, up till today's RMUN 2005! Sigh... Oh well, nvm nvm, all I have to do is just get over with this and it would be all over!!! XD

So, went to school early in the morning (6.45am) to pick up my blazer. Was damned irritated, because I found my blazer the second I stepped into the staff room, whereas ernest said that he "could not find mine" when I asked him to pick it up for me when he was at school... gahz, and I sent samuel an sms to ask him to pick up my blazer for me like 4, 5 days before today, and he suddenly gave me some cock-and-bull reason for him did not pick up my blazer for "i dunno what". Nvm nvm, was god damned pissed with them, but anyway, I should be taking things by my stride. =)

After that, arrived at RJC at 7am, and met ken wei, bryan and fiona there. Yep, and we crossed over to Rafflesia (where fiona lives) and settled down at the "multi-purpose room". Turns out to be a lobby-office of some sort *haha* but hey, if fiona says it's fine for us to do our last-min practice for Fashion Parade there, who cares? XD LOL... So it turns out that, we only got like, 1 hour to practise our skit (a fijian legend: Legend of the Red Prawns) and get ready every damned thing before the "armageddon" at RJC. *gulp* Hahaz... Thank goodness, ken wei and bryan did come up with something for our fashion parade skit (well, more of ken wei, cuz I think bryan was like, slacking throughout? XP *no offence bry*), or else we all wlda died horribly... heh heh.

The story goes, that there was once this very beautiful princess on an island in fiji, called the maiden-of-the-fair-wind. Many suitors tried to win her hand but failed. Then, one day, there was this dashing young prince on another island that wanted to win the heart of the princess. So, he gathered the red prawns from the sea and cooked them to present to the princess as gifts, along with many other valuables. However, the princess burst into a rage and ordered her maidservant to throw the prince over the edge of the cliff. As the prince fell, the prawns scattered all over the water around it. Miraculously, the prince survived the fall, and sadly, he waded back to his island. Pining over his lost love, he tried to build a bridge to link the 2 islands to get a chance to see the princess again, but his work was never finished, and the remains are still there today. As for the prawns, they came to life, and became the well-known red prawns that populate the seas around fiji...

Yep, sounds long here, but actually, our skit was only about 2+ min. Haiz... Nvm, cuts the crap, keeps it short and sweet. =) Heh, here's the interesting part... Fiona is supposed to act our the role of the prince, and I was supposed to be the PRINCESS... o.0

OH MEN... PRINCESS, I DUN BELIEVE THIS!!! XD

Fine, so I am supposed to be wearing a skirt, prancing on the stage like a girl, act super-gay, and wad, be bimbo?!?!?!?!??! omg wth... I feel like puking, just thinking about it. But haiz, if i dun do it, who will? So no choice, got to take up this "gruesome" responsibility... ARGH!

Back to reality. We practised there until 8am, where we rushed over to RJC to meet ying zhen and co. (more like the lady in the room who was trying to revise chased us out for being too noisy xP) Waited till 8.30am when samuel finally came over to pass me his blazer (well, QC's blazer) and his name tag (if not, i cannot enter). Well, he doesn't seem to be ermm... on the best of moods or anything (or perhaps this is usual, cuz i seen it for sooooo many times liao lor). Just dumped the stuff on me, didn't say anything to enlighten me on what I am gonna face later in debate (muz be sleeping in there i suppose. correct me if I am mistaken), and just "stalked off in a huff and slammed the door after getting into his mum's car". Even his mum was like, coming to me and asking what was wrong with him, and how come he had to come down to rjc just to pass me certain notes, a tag, and a blazer... *scratches head* Seems like no one understands samuel (not even me. He's too complex)

*************************************************************

Haiz, dunno what the hell is wrong with samuel man... Maybe he's pissed abt me switching him with fiona or wad, but he shlda voiced his objections or something right?! Does he even know I would have like, removed fiona if he voiced objections??? What in heaven's name man... GAHZ. WHATEVER! He's pissed, doesn't wanna tell me why, fine lor. Like I would be a nanny and giva damn abt what's bothering him or what. If he ain't want my help, so be it. (man, I love the last 3 words. So powerful... XD).

Ahhz, and I think it would only be right if I announced here why I switched sam for fiona on the second day of RMUN... Based on these 4 reasons:

  1. From sources I collected, samuel seems not to have participated much in debate for fiji on the 1st day of RMUN (which is quite unusual compared to how he's normally very outspoken in school), and seems to "not know what's going on" (quoted). On the other hand, fiona was the only one in GA that was trying to engage the entire programme and actively take part in the conference (even if it was in a "bad" way, it's still participation!). So, I figured that if sam were to be with me in the GA for Fiji, we will be absolutely dead. Thus, I had to make the decision to switch sam for a "more capable" substitute.
  2. Next, drawing reason from the 1st point, fiona seems to have more enthusiasm. In my 1st reason, I explained that according to info I got, samuel wasn't speaking up much in debate, and his participation in it is limited. Furthermore, I feel that after the 1st day of RMUN, he should have the "decency"(adjective exaggerated) to come tell me about what's happening and all, considering the fact I was absent on 1st day due to being at my SIMO camp. But did he? NO. Sad. I am very very very disappointed with his performance. I expected much more from him in this RMUN than the other members, but I guess he just failed to do so... On the contuary, it was the other members that did something that I would not have thought they would! Ken wei, known for his slacker-ism *hope u dun mind ken!*, actually took the pains to plan the fashion parade skit for us. Although it was quite last min, but it certainly beats nothing! And fiona, although she was not part of RMUN initially, she still offered her assistance, and also guided the "lost me" in one night over msn on what I should do. Now, fiona's what I would really call on the ball, compared to others who have like, "LOST the ball" (lame joke. pls ignore). And I am sure, by instinct, everyone prefers an enthu-kia rather than an non-enthu one... =)
  3. To add on, I think fiona has more experience in RMUN debate rather than samuel. Considering the fact that she attended SMUN (i cannot rmb wad the name was) and was taking part in the 1st day of RMUN (at least more than samuel. refer to reason 1), I have more confidence in entrusting the duties to her rather than one that seems to be "day-dreaming" (quoted. exaggerated.) Thus, this further reinforces my decision.
  4. Last, but not least (phew, written so much critique stuff), is that my group (not just me) feel that it is critical that fiona was part of our group to help us in the fashion parade. Now now now... this reason may seem selfish, biased and all, but I had to do it to ensure the survival of our group. Fiona's the only person who has resources so close to RJC, and have what we need within our reach... Also, she's super-enthu about it (exaggerated) and very willing to help us out, despite the original fact that she is not obliged to even lend assistance to us!!! Well, she did say she did all this because she was "bored" (quoted), but still... Therefore, with the group's support, we decided to let fiona replace samuel for the second day of RMUN, for the "health of our fashion parade skit" =\

Ahhz, I written quite a little too much there, and perhaps, too critical to samuel. I send my apologies if this has affected you in one way or another, but let's face it, if you were vexed about why I got an "outsider" to sit in for you, I have given my truest word down to the last letter, so just... take it. Sorry.

****************************************************************

Now, back to RMUN again... (sorry for diverging from topic)

fiona and I were in GA, while bryan and ernest were in ECOSOC, and ken wei in the press corp. So we split up and went to do each of our own stuff. In GA, I missed out hell lotta stuff from the 1st day of RMUN (on 14th), so well, I found it hard to catch up with the rest regarding the stuff being discussed. Nevermind. I owe fiona loads for her helping guide me in the debate. Although I must say I didn't contribute much, and that fiona seems to be hogging the entire role of Fiji all for herself sometimes *lol*, still, I think we faired better than 1st day (although I am in no position to pass such judgement. Only people like ying zhen and marge can have such a say).

Flash crisis was about the EU president being kidnapped by a Kurdish seperatist group called the F.A.R.K (not F.U.C.K *pardon the bad language*) and the GA needs to come up with an emergency solution to rescue the president, before the time runs out. 2 resolutions came up, one being the USA's, which emphasizes the need to send troops down to crush the rebels asap, and the Liberia-Brazil's, which takes the more peaceful approach of negotiation, and then going by force if things turn ugly. Well, no reso was passed, and yep, the EU president died. XD Nvm nvm... can always re-elect another guy for it right... *evil me*

After crisis, we were back to the main topic: Coordination of international relief aid for natural disasters. Time was short, yet we debated too much, neglecting the time factor! As a result, 2 sides emerged: the US side, and the India side. Debates were hot and furious, until The Netherlands claimed to be the "neutral, in-between country" and came up with a proposal of their own, which was very similar to the USA's (probably a merge?) Unfortunately, it wasn't passed either, and time was finally up, as we moved off for the RMUN Summit.

Final score of resolutions passed by the GA: ZERO... XD

Oh well, summit. Thank goodness Fiji wasn't "requested" to go forth on stage to speak, or else that will be the end for us. Instead, the Brazil ECOSOC was asked to come forward, and Abi went up. The poor guy, he came under alot of fire for his resolution that he wanted to pass in the ECOSOC debate, but hey, he answered the questions cooly, and "with style" man (exaggerated). Hahahaz... ABI U ROX!!! XD Discussed the overview of the entire RMUN debate in all 3 councils, and ended at 12.30pm.

Had lunch, and we had free time till 3pm, when the fashion parade started. So, we made use of this free time to go to fiona's house to find something for me to wear, cuz the hawaiian full-suit i was wearing didn't look girlish enough, so they were looking for something else to go with my white singlet (which they had to pin it up because it was loose XP). They considered fiona's NY skirt (she's former NYer), and they let me try. It just fit, but couldn't button up, and it kept slipping, so they decided to use that full suit to wrap around my waist as a long skirt, and i wear the NY skirt below it. Sheesh, i shldn't have considered NY skirt at all... too tight, too short. =D Practised one last time, then returned to RJC to meet doom...

Fashion Parade at 1st seemed very very stressful, but the moment you jump right into the mood, the nervousness simply goes away, and you will feel as though you are floating in wonderland, watching the several delegates from different countries strut their stuff. Some did dance, while others did skits. There was even one from the UK that actually did something regarding the Internet and Porn!!!! *OMG* The song was very catchy too... XD But come to think of it, I dun see the link between Porn, UK, and RMUN's fashion parade! *uh...* All in all, fiji's fashion parade did fine. At least we didn't fair too horribly like I would have imagined so nights ago... =)

And yep, that was the 1ST TIME I ACTED AS A GIRL BEFORE THE AUDIENCE!!!!!!!! WHEEE...

Hahahhahahhaz... can't get that out of my mind!

At the end of the day, there was the prize presentation ceremony. Although Fiji didn't win anything *aww*, at least NUS High brought something home, despite this being our 1st year at RMUN. Brazil bagged Honourable Mention for their ECOSOC policy statement, and Abi got Honourable Mention for best delegate in ECOSOC! Hahhaa! Our 1st time too! Now, at least Mr Salim won't castrate us... And perhaps he will be expecting more from us next year??? *OH NOOOOOOO*

That's all for RMUN. When it ended, fiona suddenly "stormed" off (exaggerated. confirmed with her), for some reason I dunno. She seems troubled over something... Well, I think I better check it out. =)

OH YES. I will definitely bring this up about fiona helping us in RMUN 2005 to Mr Salim, whether she likes it or not. Cuz in my opinion, the entire delegation of Fiji owe her more than just our hides (and consider the consequence of what Mr Salim will do to us... XD *get the joke?*) If you ask me, she'd deserve that certificate of participation more than samuel or I (samuel more like. I took part in fashion parade and "sacrified my dignity" right? HAHAHA) It just pains me to see a fellow member that is secretly helping us in the dark and not gaining any form of recognition before the teachers... Sigh.

P.S: Ahhz, I made this post on 18th, but put it as 16th for dating's sake. Hahahaz... I hope you guys dun mind ok? xD

PHEW... The longest, and most critical post, I made on this blog of secrets! (for once, this blog truly is a blog for me to spill the deepest, darkest secrets... heh!) Spent 2hrs on this post!!! XD

SIMO Camp 2005

Heya, haven't been blogging recently... Yea, cuz I was away at a 6 day 5 night camp @ NUS: SIMO 2005 training camp (senior)! Whee... Hahahaz, more math *ergh* but still, had lotsa night fun at the hostels at Raffles Hall. Ahem, well, unless u call reading and listening and relistening to my music in my mp3 player fun, then nevermind... lol XD

Day 1 (10th June)

1st day at camp. Went to NUS at 8am, and met dom, yunying, and lei lei... Collected our room keys and went to dump our stuffz in the room (my room was 5-203). Shared a room with a sec 4 asci guy called bryan, that is part of the national team training (one grade higher than me. I feel inferior =( ) Then had to walk across NUS, up and down a hill twice, before reaching Block S9, where we had our math lectures. Morning lesson was Geometry *yawn. boring*, and the afternoon lesson was Pigeonhole Principle. Prof Tay was so nice. When I asked him if he had extra SMO 2003 & 2004 booklets, and he actually ran back to his office and brought the 2 books for me!!! *phew* At least I have replaced my lost books now... Dunno if I should have gotten the 2002 book as well. *hmmmm*

Night activity was boring like crap. ICE-BREAKERS!!! Not much ice broken la. But man, these ice-breakers are different from the ordinary ones... They had math in it! *omg* Read abit, and went to sleep around 11-11.30pm

Day 2 (11th June)

Woke up at 6.30am. Early yes, cuz breakfast starts at 7.30, and I need to get to class by 8.30 (yaya, I know, too gan chiong... lol) For some reason, I seem to be able to wake up very quickly, unlike at home where I would prefer to daydream on the bed and go back to sleep. Dunno why, perhaps it is the air, or the bed, or the surrounding atmosphere... *hmmz*

Anyway, today had no classes. Instead, the entire senior team was divided up into 8 groups, each coached by a few members of the national team training group, and we did the so-called "Vertical Training" conducted by the X-men (basically, they are the ex-IMO team members of S'pore). Well, with alot of hinting and prompting by them, I managed to do 2 questions. Yes, the 2 simplest number theory questions out of 8. Dom had a hard time settling the harder number theory qn, and the screwy geometry one. Hahaaz... Did quite well overall (cuz we got nice national team members that give loadsa hints, and a JC2 guy who's uber experienced and could do the toughest questions in the set. I wonder why he's still in the senior team... hmm...).

Night activity: Meet the X-men. The X-men all intro-ed themselves, and opened the discussions to us, asking us if we have any questions to ask them. Obviously, no one had, so they had no choice but to dismiss us early, and allow those who do have questions to stay behind and ask them (of coz, few did. Only the super-enthu types stayed XD).

Boring. Same thing at night. Read, mp3, and sleep at 11+... *yawns*

Day 3 (12th June)

Third day. Suddenly realised that the cause for my restlessness at night in bed was due to the BED BUGS ON MY BED!!! Not mosquitoes mind, cuz if it is, then bryan, my room-mate, would have gotten those bites too... But I had DOZENS... (up to 100!)!!! OMG, was totally freaked out. Went to report this matter to the people in charge, and one of them was kind enough to offer me his room, since he wasn't staying for the night! Whee!!! hahaz... And SINGLE ROOM too! Wahahahhaa! so lucky... XD

Lessons resume as usual today. Had Number theory throughout the day. Slacked quite alot, slept quite abit XP, and of coz, tried to concentrate. Obviously it was tough, considering that the way the lecturer, Dr. Chua, conducts the lesson is soooooooooo boring (or well, at least not my taste).

This time round, the night activity was slightly more interesting... We got to see snapshots and videos of the S'pore team sent for the SEAMO 2005 (South-east Asia Mathematical Olympiad)!!! Hahahahhaaz... quite entertaining, and fascinating as to see what the IMO teams get to do when they go abroad for competitions. Hmm, and they say some of them are so pro, that they even found themselves girlfriends from other nations!!! *wow* Hehz...

Returned back to Raffles Hall, and dom, yunying, lei lei, and I used dom's ping pong ball to play table soccer! There was a sorta dusty, abandoned table soccer set that was placed in the balcony area, but since it still functions, we decided to take this as our form of self amusement, and we played so much till we were perspiring like pigs!!! XD

Went back to my room, and realised that there was a stack of transparencies left on the table. Turns out that they are questions for the upcoming oral quiz, which was to be held on the last day of the camp! WOW... didn't expect we'd get such a find eh? The 4 of us huddled in my room to look through the questions. Some of them were dead easy, while others are hard. There are even some questions that are totally crap!!! XD Ah well, by the time i finished, I was so dead tired, so slept immediately.

Day 4 (13th June)

I don't believe this... the bed was soooooooo comfortable, that I actually OVERSLEPT!!! >< dang dang dang dang... *dies* Thank goodness that my 3 frenz came to wake me up, just in time for me to make it with the entire group to leave for class. In the process, I skipped brushing my teeth and eating breakfast (porridge)...

ARGH... QUIZ!!! 4 questions, 3 1/2 hrs, and a hell lotta pain. Saw that the others were doing it like as though it was an easy piece of crap, while I was struggling and kicking my guts out for these stuff. Sigh... I am such a loser man. Damnit. Anyway, finished the quiz, and then proceded with geometry lecture (part 2) in the afternoon. Zzzzzzz... *geddit?*

Disappointing part was, that we got back our quiz scores on the same day. I performed the poorest outta the 4 of us, and I won't be surprised if I scored the poorest in class too =( Haiz, the shame, the shame!!! *sobs*

Hmm, this night's activity was supposedly nice: Math in games (like strikeout games and how to calculate the steps needed to beat the opposing team). Unfortunately, the speaker was not only uttering jargon-ish crap, he was soooooooooooooooooooo boring!!! GAHz... I think I fell asleep quite a number of times liao... Lol!

Played table soccer, and then moved to another room to sleep with one of the X-men by the name of Kelvin (double room liao... no more fun). Sheesh, some reading too. =)

Day 5 (14th June)

Today's stuff was quite monotonous, with mostly lectures and lectures and nothing more. Well, that's for the day time that is. The night time was the most exciting time ever... XD

Morning lecture was about Functional Equations, and the afternoon one was about graph theory... The graph theory topic was pretty new to me, although I have come across many such questions in the SMO. Even the lecturer was good! XD Hehz...

Oh, another disappointing segment in the day: When Dr Tay brought up the list of people that made it for the Open 2nd round, I realised that NUS High had 11 people making it, but I wasn't among them!!! *sobs* Must be my dismal performance at the SMO... Sigh... Thx goodness Dr. Tay made a special arrangement for me to join the second round too, but I hope it will make much diff.... haiz.

Night time was most fun. All of us went to the club at NUS to the restaurant there for BUFFET DINNER!!! Now, no camp can beat that! XD wheee... Had a prize presentation ceremony, and those idiots somehow missed my name and didn't print my cert of participation of camp. -.-" God damnit, how blur can they be... My name is like, 1st name on the name list under NUS High!!! Ridiculous... XP Ate quickly, and went back to resume table soccer with lei lei and dom.

Ahhz, changed room again. Now had a single room, and almost zero bed bugs! XD Haha... Since this was the last night, I didn't bother sleeping early. After all, it is the last night, and I ought to go enjoy myself with the others to destress... lol. Learnt a few new card games, namely "Heart Attack", and "BRIDGE"!!! Yes, finally learnt how to play bridge liao! XD (But am still noob, so need practise =) ) Slept at 12 midnight. Wanted to stay up earlier, but I made a deal with the people in charge that I went to bed at that time, so... haiz. Listened to my mp3 to sleep... Ahhz.

Day 6 (15th June)

Gahz, shit. The right side of my mp3 earphones snapped, and it isn't working anymore... sheesh, gotta get a new one. *dang*

Had the last activity of the camp: Oral Quiz. Divided into groups again, we answered questions flashed out on transparencies, and earn points for the group. Well, turns out that those questions we sneakily read at night in my room on the 3rd night was old questions, from previous camps, and they didn't reuse them. Hmm, I disliked the oral quiz. The math qns part is challenging, but some of the questions are just too corny, lame, stupid, not funny at all... the list goes on... Got me damned pissed by the end of the day. -.-" Left at about 1pm.

All in all, despite the disappointing moments in this camp, I still enjoy it. I hope to be able to privately train myself for the next year before the next SMO, and then excel!!! XD But that means more work, less slack... *boo hoo*

P.S: this post was made on 16th June, but I put it on 15th for fun. xD Just end of camp mar... nicer. =)

And before I end, I'd just like to share a quote made by dominic lee: "It's Not Funny..." XD *nvm, for those of you that don't geddit.

Will blog about RMUN 2005 another day, until then, cya!

Physics Open House (part 2)

Ahhz, second day of the open house!!! Had the dreaded physics quiz, and only one word fits the description of me: dead. Haha =) I mean, come on! I didn't bother to read up much about physics from our textbook at all, so well... Hahahaz, know nuts about electromagnetism, waves and oscillations, light and optics, thermodynamics. The only thing I could handle was the mechanics, and some parts of the quantum physics (those covered in chemistry foundation module. Nuclear decays, E=hf, etc...) Sigh, an absolute shame of myself. Haiz...

Nevermind, later went to watch the lab demonstrations. The helpers there really prepared loads of interesting stuff, ranging across ALL types of physics! (except quantum. too cheem, too complex to handle with ordinary, "harmless" equipment) Heez, pretty cool, some of the stuff. And I liked the electricity experiments... Zapping people with the little charge I possess seems very very... entertaining. XD Whee... Bryan hadda nice shock (or more like me feeling zapped in spite of me trying to get him zapped). I seem to be super-sensitive to electricity, hmm, must have run in the blood. =)

Haiz, nevermind. Anyway, from tomorrow till 15 June, I will be away at SIMO camp, @ NUS! For heavy-duty math stuffz... 7 HOURS OF LECTURES EVERY DAY!!! What the !#(*&%#!(... Gahz. My brain is gonna be so fried by the end of all this. -.-" *Dies* Anyway, I seriously hope I can enjoy myself there, and then get ready to be screwed for RMUN fashion parade on the 16th

Anyway, back to my own little world *dreamland* or something. I dunno. Cya!

Physics Open House

Well... today, went to NUS for the physics open house. Not too bad for a 1st day, was just spectating... hahaz.

To start off, we had a lecture by this guy called prof frank watt. (interesting surname =) ) Yea, he was going on and on about how important physics is, in the medical sector, nano-tech sector, and even introduced the uses of the proton in proton microscopes, which can be used to view images smaller than what the electron microscope can view, and also proton beam writing! wow... fascinating nanotechnology, ain't it? Gahz, fell asleep several times during his talk. Sheesh, I wish I'd stop doing that all the time in long lectures... Perhaps I need some sweets or something... *hmm*

Next, was our mini-activity session. Quite cool, we made ice-cream using milk, cream, sugar, flavouring (vanilla essence)... and LIQUID NITROGEN?! Hahaz... yep, after mixing the ingredients together (zhao ye and I were "volunteered" for this. OK, I WAS. XD), they poured the liquid N2 DIRECTLY INTO the mix!!! *pukes* Imagine knowing that your icecream has that liquid N2 poured into it! >.< Hahahaz... but it tasted quite ok in the end leh... *prays that I dun get a bad case of diahorrea* XP

They also did the experiment where they gave a block of ice and a block of ice and tissue mix to smash. The pure ice block was easy to crack, but the tissue and ice mix block was hell tough to smash! My goodness... I think the only way to crush it would be to put it under an artificial pressurizer of some kind to apply enough force to crack the darn thing (gabriel and joshua tried consecutive knocks on the "super block" with 2 hammers, but of course, didn't work. =) )

PROJECTILE FIRING! w00tz! I have heard of it before, but this is certainly my 1st time witnessing this event! Whee.... So fun to see all the different teams showcase their stuff and send their projectiles into the sky! (well, some of them were pretty earth-bound, if ya catch wad I mean... but wadda heck) Our team did a rocket, propelled by the jet of high-pressure air and some water as a propellant. And well... guess what, it flew 15+ metres! WHEE! *sarcasm* Lolz... sigh, I am more impressed with the way NY and RI did their projectile firing.

NY did the same as us - launching a rocket, but their launcher is far more sophiscated. They imported parts from a company in Japan, and assembled the launcher! (looks really professional) Using a hand-held pump, they pumped air into the rocket till the pressure build-up is sufficient enough, and POOP (it became koko crunch! -.-" nah, jking) the rocket was sent flying SKY HIGH... in a perfect parabola, with extreme stability in its flight! Amazing, the way their launching mechanism could propel the projectile so beautifully... and over a long range too... XD

As for RI, they were the best. They fired an ARTILERY ROUND! Just picture this: 2 gas valves, with 2 holes allowing 2 pumps to pump air AT THE SAME TIME (that means 2X the force on the round!), and once they open the knob, all the pressurized air just slips into the center barrel, forcing the pellet (projectile out). The most amazing thing was that, during the firing, it used only one gas valve, and not to full efficiency, yet... IT STILL FIRED UP TO 60-70 metres!!! Wad the... *shocked* It's absolutely nuts. And when they did a final shot just for fun, they pumped everything to max, launched the projectile, and it went up up up and away... they couldn't even recover the projectile in the end! That shows how powerful their mechanism is, and how high this pellet flown at the full strength! Scary... XD

Anyway, tts all for today. Tomorrow is quiz time. Confirm DIE. Hahaz... Jac was saying something about our quiz teams doing the school proud... yea, with a joker like me around? I wish... *haiz* =(

Holidays... Boring?

Sigh... holidays. Yea, the free time we get, the freedom to do what we want, go where we want, and stay up how late we want... everyday! (excluding the "special" extra activities we have, which for me is quite... alot =( ) In the past CHS days, I always looked forward to the holidays, as it is a time where i need not go to school, or bear the sickening pain of the teachers, or let other school related matters bug me. In short. HOLIDAYS ARE SUPER SLACK TIME... Wahahahhahaz...

Strangely, upon coming to NUS High, things start to change. Now, I seem to prefer the times where I go to school everyday, get to learn new, interesting stuff, meet up to chat with buddies, and yes, the games that we play! Lolz... Compared to the holidays I am having now, I'd give anything to return to school man... sigh, the pain!!! >.<

You see, this holiday, despite the lack of holiday hw *whee!*, has not let me off other strenous activities... For example, I got to juggle the whole heckova jobs, like RMUN, IMO camp, council matters (scary, this is yea!), and worry for my house. Darn. NO SLACK then. Hahahaz... got to keep working *really painful*. Also, time seems to slow into a drag, and I am wasting far too much time doing useless activities (like napping, lazing about, daydreaming on how momentum carries me forward while jumping off a moving train. mechanics in physics! sheesh) -.-" I think my body ain't built for slacking or something, haha. Must work with the Japanese spirit!

Missing my buddies in school too! *sobs*. Lets see... I miss the crapping Joshua, lame Gabriel, witty Charmaine, buddy-like derrick... and all my 3-5ers! Best loada classmates I ever had! (most interesting sort too. Never seen another in CHS! XD). Also, my other friends too like my fellow councillors, year 1 buddies *wink*, and..... even the TEACHERS TOO!!! *hear hear!* Mr Sukanda, Ms Koh... and MR WEEEEEEEEEEE... Onwards Mr Wee, for you rock (pebble, and stone -.-) my world! It really is a pity that you won't be teaching me for physics next sem... haiz. =(

Well, am looking forward to the last week of this holidays, for only then can I really relinquish all the stress from my life to enjoy the fresh air outside my home, even if it is just for a fleeting moment! Yes...... *daydreams* ARGH. Must... work... on... my... con...cen...tra...tion... *faints*

Anyway, back to work. cya! (Cover Your Ass. Nah, joking XD)

If I had a superpower...

Well, just did a personality test, to see what "superpower" I have. If i were to ever possess one -.-" lol...

Here's the link! http://quizilla.com/users/PainfulBliss/quizzes/What%20Power%20is%20Compatible%20With%20You?

and yep, here are the results

~*~Result nr 1~*~

Your power is: Clairvoyance

Explanation: Your power is that you can
look into the future and see what is coming.
How far and long you can look is all depending
on your skill level. This can, as all powers,
be used in both evil and good. Even if it may
seem like a boring ability it is a huge
responsibility for the carrier, becase they are
constantly tempted with doing the wrongs deeds
(e.g. cheat on a test). It takes high morals to
not be brought down with it.

Therefor you fit with this power quite well.
You take responsibility and do what is the
right thing to do. This does not make you a
saint, since you're only human after all. But
it makes a trustworthy person and you are loyal
to camrades and/or team mates. In school you
were probably a good student. If you were
social varies from person to person, but most
clairvoyant people tend to prefer their own
company or that of close friends and family.
That is because you are wise and knows how to
treasure the reliable in your life, since you
know popularity can be a false element. You are
also not that big on taking risks and prefer
what is already explored. That is because you
don't like suprises, they can turn out bad and
then you won't be in control.

Negative aspects: Since you're always
doing the right thing and being trustworthy all
the time you can become frustrated. Also, all
that you carry on your shoulders may stress you
out. You need to relax to be in good mental
shape.

Defence of the Ancients

Well, I have been holding this back for long enough, but I really wanna announce this on my blog, that...

DOTA ROXXORZ!!! OWNAGE! *now tts random*

Ahhz, everyone, if you got Frozen Throne at home, and are bored stiff not knowing what to play, then I highly recommend DotA. For one, you can play with many players online (up to 10. if u can find tt many ppl), and the gameplay style is different compared to your everyday custom game you find on FT... You control a lone hero, and with the help of items, spells, your allied army (sentinels/scourge), and most importantly, your friends, you fight a conquest to defeat the opposing side and crush them to the ground... For details, refer to: http://www.dota-allstars.com

Hehz, very very interesting game I tell you. Never have I seen people alter the original style of gaming in Frozen Throne into something like this! A must try for one and all! (that's if, you like RTS games. If not, dun bother =) )

Heroes I use:

Sentinels (my prefered side. easier to use):
Dwarven Sniper
Phantom Lancer
Goblin Techies
Dragon Knight

Scourge (slightly tougher to use):
Nerubian Assasin

Whahahahahaz... I owe everything to my shifu KYROS. He introed me the game, and seriously, i wished I had taken his advice earlier lor! SO FUN SIA!

One of these days, I shall pwn him in DotA, and become sole ruler of the universe!!! (oops, ignore this last line people. Too drama liao... XD)

Wanna play DotA? Just drop me a line and off we go on the road to global domination! Muahahahhahahaz.... XP

BEWARE... the almighty biohazard of FLEMING HOUSE! Blue must reign supreme!!! XD

SMO

Ahahaaz, i dun believe this. I DIDN'T BLOG REGULARLY! (biggest crime *joke* in history -.-") Ahhz, anyway, feeling damned sianz now... sianzation's hitting me bad. I need stuff to keep me occupied (not work pls. I had enough)

Here goes...

Yesterday, I went to NUS to sit for Senior Section SMO paper. Oh well, just one word is sufficient to describe me: DEAD. Yes, oh men, I think this year is gonna be the 1st year I bring a participation cert home to show my dad, and yep, he's gonna slaughter me big time I tell u... *sigh* Anyway, nothing I can do about it now, so......

And today! Had OPEN SECTION SMO PAPER?! OMG WTH... I am like, only 15? And taking the Open paper?! Wa liao... almost died I tell u *probably dead now* hahahaz, but heh, shan't complain. There are people like Jun Le and other year 1s who are only 13 and taking the open paper too... *keeps quiet* So, walked in and registered, and sat for the paper of living hell. Well, this hell ain't as bad as the tekan-ing sessions at Leadership Camp, but hey, it can be considered near its equivalent... lol! (I think my brain has contracted by a couple of modules already. 3 to be exact. XD)

However interestingly, I seem to find the Open paper "easier" to some extent compared to the Senior paper? Hmm... I wonder why. Is my mind playing silly tricks with me, or is it some sort of instant confidence booster? Weird... Gahz, maybe if i can bag home a bronze or sth... *hee hee*

Dratz, lost both my 2003 and 2004 SMO books. Dang, needa get a replacement.... somehow. *thinks*

Ahhz, back to sianzation I think. and oh yes. DOTA ROXXORZ!!! XD Anyone wanna challenge? Muahahahhahaz... (my shifu: kyros)
