I wanna go spiritual and soul-searching for a while... so leave me be.
*feels doors close. room empties. surrounding darkens...*
A sense of foreboding still lingers within the very place i stand... a weird feeling as if, something big is about to happen, but I remain as emotionless as always... what's going on I ask myself?
Is the sky falling again? *chicken little*
Is the sun dying out?
Am I dying?
No, I suppose not. Yet, these possibilities remain as distant and far away as I can imagine. Watching the sun set, I embrace the night winds and darkness, only to be brought to sleep and waking up again the next day to conquer the new tomorrow... when I realise...
tomorrow ain't just any ordinary tomorrow. it brings about something new... something... foreign, strange - a whole new fight to challenge!
Year 2005 finally draws to a close, as the final hours tick away on the several clocks and watches that linger around my room, as if to sneer and jeer at me, desperately collecting the last stragling bits of the closing year around me, holding on too tightly and refusing to let go. There's been just too much I've gone through this year that I would never forget. Never... I mutter, as those precious memories continue to cling onto me.
Lemme relive those moments. Step. by. Step. *memory flashes*

Orientation 2006...
...
Oh no. 2006.
It seems to be coming at me too fast... just too fast, like a lightning streaking across the dark night sky. With every step it takes, I try to take a step back. back, back, back i go, with no thoughts as to where it might take me. Alarm bells still continue to ring into my head: NoNo, 2005's been great. I don't want to leave it... I AM NOT READY FOR THE NEW YEAR! >.< *stressed*
my feet didn't stop... that's until, of course, I hit... the valley of death.
looking behind me, all I saw was the pitfall of sure death. Death, misery, sorrow, unhappiness, any source of dark energy, all lay far below in it. Going there would only bring doom to me.
I suppose I have no choice. *grits teeth*
2006, here I come! *drops everything that I hold*
But wait, before I make a dash, I must come prepared! Yea... a plan, a strategy, something that will help me tackle the new challenge and hurdle with style and ease! Haha... I need... a new year resolution!
It must leave it's mark... somewhere in the very end, where I can make no ammendments to it and stay focused on task. Somewhere? On my blog of course! The last post... of 2005.
Year 2006 resolution:
- Be a FLIRT (ok. fine. just means not serious on steady)
- Better my CAP (or at least, maintain it)
- Master my 7 habits of Highly Effective Teens
- Work on my personal image
Is that too much on myself I ask?
"Nothing stops you turning the world... only your mind and will" as usual. hmm...
*picks up baton* the new marathon is up, will you run it with me all the way?
*charges for the open door*
Good bye 2005! I leave my lasting memories and moments within it, as I go for 2006... *smiles*
******
Ok, spirituality over.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! =))))

parade in newspaper suit
ok, today was the gayest day of my life damnit... wahahhaha. Can more or less say that if people were to put up arrest warrant for me in Clementi now, everyone would be able to recognise me. XD
It's like this, apparently we (gary kenneth and I) were attached with this group of PSLs and named 101. our "mentor group", along with 304 and 305, went out around clementi area today to try out the amazing race. Haha... apparently, i think my group performance was the poorest; only completed 4/6 stations and the final obstacle course... and our group was the biggest leh, wth... can go screw ourselves on this liao la. *kabish* but no matter... this isn't what I want to discuss today. the truth about the trip is even... scarier. XD
At the second station beside the Clementi MRT, we were given the task of designing a "futuristic suit" to "disguise one member of the group to allow him to evade the guards protecting The THING". hahaha... and we were only given 3 things to use: newspapers, scotch tape, and scissors. They were all silent for a moment, until some idiot (i think it was nic wong) shouted, "roy! go!" and the next thing i knew it, i was dragged to the center of the group liao. haiz... that's it man, all over......
guess I'd just have to do it again.
A few minutes later (or should i say about 10-15, since they were idling most of the time and taping crap all over me), I was done. Came out looking like some weirdo that just landed from Mars! XD Lemme explain why I feel so:
1. I was wearing a "sith" like hat
2. I had a weird chest plate with long shoulder platings attached to it
3. I was wearing a "mini-skirt", secured by a belly wrap, which later just lengthened the "skirt"
4. A flap was added in front of my skirt to make it look like a Chinese costume
and lastly... OMG I HAVE A FRIGGING TAIL ON MY BUTT THX TO NIC WONG!!! >.<
Talk about ultimate gayness XP
And result? I paraded around Clementi Area IN THAT SUIT... that's it man, I lost all dignity and pride as a man *sobs*... bah, wadevah, before people start telling me that "I ain't man in the 1st place" sorta thing, wahahahah.

my alter ego
okokok... i've received several people actually bother asking me about what my alter ego is? Hahaha... finefine, I shall "spill the beans" here (NO OFFENCE REICO. I REPEAT. NO OFFENCE).
Ever wonder why I always am such a self-declared flirt?
Well, you've got your answer. =)
No wonder I always tell people to ph34r my alter ego. XD Hmm...

alter ego: unleashed
i've made a rather interesting discovery this morning, as I was talking to gary about alter egos...
I used to remember using my "alter ego" to like, threaten those people around me and say stuff like, "hey, beware, lest you want to feel the wrath of my alter ego... hahaha. it is nasty..." Actually, at that point of time, I also had no idea what is my alter ego in the 1st place. Sounds stupid I know, but well, that's the only way I can portray my alter ego then.
That was then.
I've just realised... my alter ego... it has been... unleashed. >.<
A rather scary thought at 1st, but I felt fine after that, considering what my alter ego is like =)
Now, I truly understand what has been harboured in my mind for the past 15 years, never released, chained to the cold depths of my soul, unable to fight for freedom and escape the pit... It is... well. You can go figure.
I feel enlightened. *closes eyes*

bored on Xmas NIGHT!
bah. ok. let's face it.
I AM BORED ON A CHRISTMAS NIGHT WITH NOTHING BETTER TO DO.
*feels much better*
Anyway, i've been taking a couple of online tests, and have published my scores on the misc. portion on my blog. if you think that you are as bored as I am, go read it. hahaa... lets see who is the bigger nerd/loser/idiot/moron/wadeva... XD
*lalalala* - listening to F.I.R. seems to help kill boredom... I think? =S

the sleep thru Xmas
I remember a few nights ago, I was talking to marge over msn about this year's christmas. She then pops me the question, "what will be doing during christmas?"
"well, for a boring person like me, I will... SLEEP THRU CHRISTMAS! WHEE!" I replied.
She was rather amused, commenting that sky was sleeping thru christmas too.
Then, for some weird reason... I stared at the ceiling thinking for a minute or two... sky sleeping thru christmas... sky sleeping thru christmas... sky sleeping thru christmas...
OMGHOLY*****
Hahaha... so I made this reply,
"Ah, but there's a difference! Although the both of us will sleep thru christmas, I will most probably be sleeping thru it ALONE, cuz I am such a boring person. Sky on the other hand... ahemahem, will most probably have someones company...... XD"
And the next thing i knew it, I had to dive for a bomb shelter as marge accused me of scandalizing lynn. =))))))
Ah well... that was then. I really didn't expect myself to literally SLEEP THRU XMAS right?
Err, actually, I did. >.<
Gah, I can't believe how unlucky I can get this year... my mum fell sick a couple of days before christmas (down with bad flu... bless her soul), and the next thing I knew it, my entire family - with the exception of my dad cuz he's like uber resistant to such minor illnesses - came down with flu by christmas eve. BAH. SUAY LEH... and to get rid of the fever that was bugging me all night, I had to take a panadol and went to sleep...
that's it. game over. a christmas night GONE...
No matter. I continue to pray for my mum's good health. I pray for her speedy recovery before 27th!! XD
Oh yes, before I forget...
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! =)

Matriculation Day
Heh, today is matriculation day! Haha.. so fun, getting to see all our juniors! XD
Yea, so for the entire day, i've been running around conducting my ushering duties along with all the PSLs... bah. A bit enthu at 1st, but after that all the excitement and energy just seems to... fizzle out? Bah. Sad case sia. But really, there was no one(okokOK. veryVERY few) left patronizing the uniforms section's changing room liao wad, do wad ushering? ayee... haha. Got goody bag from the teachers at end of day. Hurray, PSL orientation tee is light blue! Wahahaha... we got a cool looking bag with orientation printed on it, plus a custom designed electronic alarm clock with the orientation theme too! Initium: Initiate, Orientate, Assimilate.
siansiansian, spent most of the day either ushering (ok fine, that takes up very little of the time spent in school la kay?), or else loitering about, making an absolute fool of myself, talking nonsense, blablabla... oh, and sharing with guys around me how cute some of the new yr 1 girls look *nownow, dun point fingers at me* XP
oh, and DARRYL FOO CAME BACK TO SEE US (with his bro)!!!!!!!! W00TZ, ROXXORZ RIGHT? DARRYL FOO ROX!!! XD
lalala... the only thing I am pretty shocked about is Darryl's hair. So damn long lor, my goodness gracious, darryl, what the hell have you been doing in Australia? Aren't there any, err... "hair restrictions"? oh menn...
ok fine. I think I made myself known around my fellow PSLs that I am one big flirt liao. >.< Haha... forget it. Enjoy the fun while it lasts! XD

back AGAIN
*portal opens*
*a dark, heavy, beaten figure emerges from it*
*portal closes...*
At last, all the travelling is over. I am home. =)
I don't believe what I've saw when I was at Yunnan, China... The scenery there was beautiful, the minority tribes there were uber cool, and, well, the girls there are... *ahem* well, I think you guys shld kno the answer. XD And if you want me to sum all of it up in a single sentence, then it would be:
What Yunnan has to offer is higher mountains, colder temperatures, drier air, less oxygen, and 10 times more beautiful scenery than Chiang Mai (of coz, Chiang Mai itself is already beautiful in its own way).
In short, yunnan > chiang mai *haha nah jkjk*
Now... I need to rest. Must recover from the temperature difference shock before I get back down to work on Orientation 2006 (from Kunming temperature [7-16 degrees centigrade] to Singapore temperature [26-32 degrees centigrade], it is definitely some significant difference]. Thank goodness the sky outside now is rather cloudy, so quite comfortable now......
Oh, and if you guys see me over the next few days, pls do not stare at my nose. It is rather errm... screwed up and flaky and cracked along the lower end due to the dry air in yunnan. I hope this doesn't scare the nushs juniors off. *heehee*

PSL Camp Over... and off to china i fly
Heh, finally, the PSL camp is over... can say it is slack laa (SL camp remains at the top of my "extreme camps" list), but hey, it is fun and also very well used, the time i mean. Most of the plans for orientation 2006 is already set down on paper, so that leaves just the preparation process on the last 2 weeks of dec hols. haha... to those that have missed the PSL camp, all that I can say, is that you guys definitely missed a HELL LOT of details in planning... but no worries, I am sure the other PSLs will fill you in on the plans very soon... *i hope*
Gahness, I shan't say alot about the PSL camp, but all I can mention is that the mass dance sessions with Aqua - Cartoon Heroes as the song to dance to is damn fun la... XD Fine, 1st time I actually enjoy a mass dance... ergh, wadevaa ><
Today, as I woke up, the aftermath of the PSL camp has set in: Sore throat, muscle ache all over *god knows how I got them!*, feverish feel, weakness, etc... BAH. How unlucky.
Anyway, to all that bothers reading my blog anymore, this is just to inform ya guys that I will be away at Yunnan, China from 10 Dec - 19 Dec... will miss ya guys loads yesyes!! XP
one... two... three... *poof!*
*praying that the scenery there is better than what I saw at Chiang Mai*

Diary of A Chiang Mai Trooper
Well well... i've been getting people bugging me to blog about the Love Chiang Mai Project and all, lalala... so I guess it is only right that I share my experiences with everyone during the past 10 days that I was in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Actually, I was writing a journal for the first few days of the trip, cuz I felt that it would be easier for me to take notes down then, and after that transfer it onto my blog. Unfortunately, I was rather packed - and tired - during the later part of the trip, so I stopped writing the journal... have to blog here solely based on memory power =
Let us begin...
Day 1, 23 November 2005
17:14 (s'pore time), on board TR128
Heh, after so long, I am finally on board an aeroplane again (drats, have not gone on holiday for 3 years already! >.<)! Whee... so fun! Am filling in my immigration pass now... can't wait to get to Chiang Mai! XD *eardrums popping*
Oh F.Y.I, ZhiHeng timed the take off timing for Tiger Airways Airbus A320, and the time is 50.20 seconds. Haha... interesting information. Heh, the feeling of more-than-normal G-force is damn "shiok" too... =)
20:53 (Chiang Mai time), International Chiang Mai Centre, Restaurant
Finally down from the flight! Haha... legs are aching like shit. Flight was dead boring, but I couldn't sleep to pass time (too little leg room!). Sky and Lynn were doing rather... interesting things on the plane too... ahem, quite nice. Think NC16. XP
Am now at Lemon Tree Restaurant in International Chiang Mai Centre (ICC), which is a hostel for students, just beside the Chiang Mai University. Food tastes great, lacks much local spice (or even if there was, it is less than I expected) Probably catered to our taste buds XP. oh, this is also the 1st time I drank "Thailand-quality tom yam soup" (quote from Jackie)! YAY! I ROX XD *wadeva*
Going to sleep soon... am just talking to this bunch of year 1s at the dinner table before I knock off =) Oh, there's reflection time too... basket. ><
Day 2, 24 November 2005
06:35 ICC Room 209
Yay. Early in the morning and the sky's already so bright! Haha... last night was fun, had "guys talk" with theo, eugene and kenwei, talking about what guys, well, what guys talk about. Fell asleep at about 00:30. Bed is sooooo comfortable, and the aircon is just nice (but gets quite cold in the morning). Am playing a couple of rounds of Indian Poker and Dai Dee with the three of them (apparently, kenwei does not like the idea of bunking in with mikel and sky, and would rather squeeze with us... hmm). Going down for breakfast soon... hopefully it is nice. *fingers crossed*.
Day 3, 25 November 2005 (this journal entry reports on Day 2)
00:13, ICC Room 209
Taking diary entry damn late today... cuz we were behind schedule and all... bah. Anyway, a quick report of the day's (yesterday) events: After the breakfast (American breakfast + coffee), we had our Thai-cultural lesson. Met our new tour guides "pi"-Jyap, "pi"-Puii, and "pi"-Muei ("pi" means senior in thai. "pi"-muei only stayed with us for 1st 3 days...). 3 hours of intro to Thai language and culture was cool; talk about learning some basic words with nice games to go with it! Hah!
Then had lunch at Noodle House... TOM YAM NOODLES! I had 2 bowls yea! XD Apparently, kenwei was turned pretty much "on" there when he was eyeing a rather hot waitress working there... lolx. Then, we took the song-tiaw (a chiang mai taxi. 8-seater. Looks like a pick-up truck fitted with a roof at its cargo bay, and seats for passengers) to the wet market. And poor despo kenwei was staring at "chio bu's" *pretty girls* again out of the song-tiaw... not to mention shouting out at hot girls riding motorbikes. The wet market experience was rather... embarassing. Had to ask around like a complete "toot" what is this, what is that... blabla, all in THAI!!! o.0 Argh... now I so appreciate my mum. XD We went to the local supermarket as well, but then it was easier cuz deb and asra were leading the way *phew*. When checking the goods that eugene and I bought from the wet market, we realised that we got 4 out of 5 correctly, cuz apparently, eugene and i mispronounced nam plaw (plain water) into nam plaa (olive oil). o.0 haha...
Afterwards, we went to the orphanage. I'm surprised that despite their backgrounds, the orphans could still remain strong and keep up the lively spirit as they played the games with us. My orphan buddy Lao, was a young boy that loved soccer *and is a Man U fan*, so ZhiHeng gave him a soccer ball with all our signatures on it (football stars!). I gave him one of my merlion key chains too. Hope he will always remember me and ZhiHeng! XP
Looking forward to meeting the PRC people! Let me try to confuse them with logic... blablabla. Whee!! XD
*From this point on, it is all based on memory work, so don't blame me if anything is wrong or is inaccurate wadevaaa*
Day 3, 25 November 2005
Packed up all our stuff at the ICC and prepared to move out. A coach came to pick us up after breakfast early in the morning and sent us to The Prince Royal's College (PRC), a very prestigious school in Chiang Mai. As we arrived there, I was stunned at the sheer size of the campus. Compared to schools in Singapore, the PRC is HUGE. And I also found out later that the total sch population (kindergarten *year 3* + grade 1-12) is 6000 students!!! omg... *faint*
The school's main colour is cobalt blue *whee!*, and their uniform was white top, blue bottoms... haha. Looks much better than our uniform in any case. -.- The assistant-director of PRC gave us a brief introduction into the history of their school, which stretches for 117 years 0.0... lalala... did the math and science booth thingy. The whole thing was kinda rush and all... considering how many students were there, and the short time span for us to present. In the end, I didn't get a chance to share my logic presentation, and eugene did most of the work about probability and the "tikam" board. yep. heck la, as long the job is done, that's all I care about. =)
Thai cooking lesson next! Cooked some sort of boiled banana in coconut milk, some form of northern thai dessert. Then had lunch with the PRC students in their Home Econs room... Apparently, for the group I was attached to, all the PRC students coaching us were ALL GIRLS (5 of them). As a result, we all left kenwei to have his "flirting session" with the girls *gwaffles*. Hmm... kenwei even finds one of the girls HOT o.0 lolx... apparently, he's added her on msn too. heehee!
Then had northern thai music lesson! Learned how to play the "zeeng", some form of guitar with only 2 strings. Quite fun la, but was dozing off near the end of the lesson and all, shikes. Then eugene and I waited for our home stay parent to pick us up. Apparently, our host was a teacher at the PRC!! Whee! Haha... he sent the both of us, along with his elder son (not the guy we were attached to) and niece along the highway to the outskirts of chiangmai, 13km away from the school, where we settled into their house. Not bad laa, looks like a normal terrace house in Singapore, except that the land area is larger and it is not as design-savvy as Singapore houses... XP. There, we did lots of interesting stuff that we could not do in Singapore, like walk in rice fields, cook a northern thai dish for ourselves, listen to the host family play thai music with traditional thai instruments, do a little star-gazing (the night is DAMN CLEAR LA), sniff the fresh country air, etc... the details of our homestay, I shall leave it out, as I think this joy shld be reserved for just eugene and I to enjoy... lol! XD
Day 4 26 November 2005
Ah, we need to leave our home stay family!! Nooooo… *sobs* haha… will really miss them loads I bet! >.< Sigh… Bid our farewells with them at the ICC around 9am; will never forget your kind and wonderful hospitality! =)
Okok, so back to business it is. When we asked around, we realized that our home stay experience was rather… unique XD. Loads of people went out to the night bazaar during their stay, or else just camped at home and played com/console games. Haha, dunno if I would prefer their experience or mine, but whatever it is, mine is definitely one I will never forget in years to come! XP
Packed up all our stuff, drinking water, food supplies, etcetc all onto our 4 song-tiaws, and we set off up Doi Inthanon. After 3 hours of non-stop bumping around, singing, crapping, and other nonsense, we finally arrived at our destination: Mae Sapok Village, home to one of the many Karen tribes around.
Found out that our living quarters was the village’s education centre, where the village kids have their schooling. After the village headman came down to greet us, we all started on our duties to settle in. We each had our separate duties, like cleaning the “living quarters”, washing the toilets, preparing dinner, and so on. For me and the rest of the year 3 guys, we were given the task of digging the rubbish dump hole. Hmm… the 1st time I used a chunk-oe (hoe)! Whee! Hahaha.. tiring manual labour, but cannot be compared with… what is to come at the work site. >.<
After our work was done, we were given time to slack and let our hair down. Dinner, debrief, and then bed. Zzzzzzz… slept on the hard floor (unlike the past 3 days which we all had the privilege of sleeping on comfortable beds), so 1st night there was quite a pain for me to sleep. Woke up several times in the middle of the night because it was uncomfortable, ugh.
Day 5, 27 November 2005
Yikes, the morning air is certainly chilly there! >.< haha… but no matter, a couple of early-morning wakers set up a small fire by the dining area, so that all of us can go there and warm ourselves up for the day. To whoever it is, thanks a million!! =)
Haha… for today, my group Cadbury (roxxorz) was allocated cooking duties. Yayness, which means we stayed back at our living quarters to prepare the day’s three meals for the rest of the guys while they were at the project site doing the work. =D lolz! Besides cooking the food, we also did other interesting things like say, suntan (kenwei and I), slack, clean up the toilets, slack somemore, watch… oh! There were 4 cows running loose around the back of our living quarters for the late morning and the afternoon too, and they were GRAZING. 0.0 Haha… God knows how they got there, and I think a couple of them attacked the girls clothesline too… *and you can imagine the rest XD* Thank goodness Aom was there to chase the cows away for us! =)
Dinner, another debrief, and sleep. And at last, I got used to the floor already, so slept pretty well today! Yipee!
Day 6, 28 November 2005
Hah, I think I must have slept really well… people around me told me that I was SNORING in my sleep! Haha… must be really tired!
Ah, 1st day at work (for me and my group)! Take note, that whatever I am writing here is solely what the year 3 guys did. The others had separate duties, so they are not to be confused with what I am describing here. =) Went down to the worksite and joined the guys as we continued to dig the pit for the 2 septic tanks to go in for storing the waste coming out of the 3 toilets. Digdigdig… all the way down (1.8 metres!) Phew… tiring work! >.<
Besides working, we had a little walk around the Mae Sapok village as well. I can’t believe it, the people around here are still living in kampong like huts-on-stilts, when the rest of the world has already moved on into the high-tech age! An interesting sight… at least for most Singaporeans I think, being cooped up in such high rise buildings all the time… XD Oh yea, bought souvenirs too! Wheeee… =D I like the wood pipes musical instrument which I bought from there. Produces… very unique sounds. XP
Again, another debriefing (ok, debriefings are kinda irritating, considering the fact that they come after a hell tiring day at work and your mind is already drifting to sleep, but hey, it is compulsory… bah).
Day 7, 29 November 2005
Back to work… zzz.
OK, for the 1st part of the day, we were going around to distribute the food hampers to the 50 families in the village, in each consists a bottle of cooking oil, a bottle of olive oil, a pack of sugar, a pack of salt, and also 6 pieces of garlic. A small token of ours to them for their kind hospitality and care. Small as it is, I think what’s more important is the feeling that bridges across our hearts! =)
Apparently, the pit we dug was not deep enough, so we spent the morning with the assistance of a couple of village workers to fine tune the pit we dug. After that, the afternoon was devoted to getting the segments of the 2 septic tanks up a steep muddy slope and then into the finished pit. Praise the lord, for we have “Ajan”-Bird to help us and guide the entire project! (“Ajan” means teacher/pastor) Haha…
Back to work again!! >.<
After that, we were filling the soil back into the pit and finishing the job. Boy, it was tough, but thank goodness we have kenwei and his “kid army”… whee, ken and his 11 children! XD Wait, there’s 15, but there were 11 on site helping him! Hahaha… ken’s really popular there huh! Oh oh, Cadbury even stayed behind to help put up some of the roofing too! Yay, Long Live Cadbury! Wahahahaha!
Back at campsite, we had a very fun-filled and interesting night: After dinner, each of the 4 groups lit a hot-air paper balloon each and sent in flying into the sky… whee, the sight is so beautiful la! XD Haha… then we had our group performances around the campfire! Cadbury sang Holiday by Green Day, and Dragostea Din Tei by O-Zone. We got second place, and our prize was a PRC pencil case! SWEET! =D
Another debrief… zzzzzzzzzzz…
Day 8, 30 November 2005
Last day here in Mae Sapok! Ahh…
Went back to paint up the toilets, and plus, add our NUS High graffiti onto the walls to show that we *with the help of the PRC students of coz* have helped build this toilet! Whee… Theo designed the entire wall painting, nice right? XD Oh, and we actually finished everything AHEAD OF SCHEDULE! COOL!
When it was all done, we went back to our living quarters to pack up our stuff: we are moving further up the mountain to stay in tents. Yes people, tents! Ayee… but it is not as uncomfortable as Singapore ones la, I mean, we get aircon at night, so can sleep one laa. =)
Up the song-tiaw again, but this time, we were taking the 4 wheel drive song-tiaws up! Haha.. hitting the rough and rocky road… plus the fact that we were singing (more like hollering) at the top of our (Cadbury) voices our favourite songs like Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Holiday, It’s My Life, I Just Wanna Live, We Will Rock You, Dragostea Din Tei, etcetc… I think Eugene even lost his voice in the process!!! >< Shikes!
Reached the Inthanon Royal Project Research Station grounds, and we set up our tents in the open patch of grass there… quite a nice scenery, and everyone was taking photos and all… darn, should have brought my camera!! ARGH! Bath was… coooolllllldddddd…. *shudders*
Dinner by the campfire, and then we went star gazing!!! Uber cool and clear sky man... we could see soooooo many stars in the sky! (now, I really miss the stars in Singapore) Learnt abit more about astronomy too… heh.
Man, so many bugs in our tent! Jensen gets so petty when it gets to bugs… aye, perhaps setting up our tent beside the tree – which has a bright lamp hung up on it – isn’t such a good idea after all… >.<
Day 9, 1 December 2005
Ahh… morning is soooooooo cold!!! Ayeyaeyaeyaeyae…. XD
But no matter, the sights are so wonderful! Haha… Packed up our stuff again and buckled onto the song-tiaw as we went further up Doi Inthanon to walk the nature trail… argh, suffering from a rather painful migraine as the air up there was rather thin… WOW. I LOVE THE NATURE AND SIGHTS UP THERE!!!
Then, we moved on to stand on the highest peak of Thailand, 2565metres above sea level! Hahaha.. the feeling there is so… great! 5 seconds of fame as each Cadbur-ian got to stand on the highest spot and say one line on how they felt! XD whee!
After that, we went to have a look at the Thai Royal Project. The plants there quite cool la… something like a, err, high-tech farm? Yea… part and parcel of the King of Thailand’s plans to help the people! *salute* Unfortunately, we had to cut short our trip due to lack of time… how sad!!! >><< Didn’t get to see the beautiful waterfall… *sobs*
Took the 3 hour ride on the song-tiaw again back to chiang mai city, where we finally ended our day at Pornping Tower. So sad, have to part with all our Thai friends!! >><< ARGH… so we exchanged our souvenirs, emails, and other wellwishes before we bid each other farewell.
Again, Kenwei bunked into our room… haha, I believe he enjoys our company more than sky’s XD. Haha, anyway, after settling down into our room, we were… ahemahem, forced, to put on the northern thai costume, as we went down for the Kantoke dinner. Food was great, entertainment was even better, whahahhahaa… something we definitely cannot find in Singapore! Finally, we ended off the day with a 1.5 hour trip to the night bazaar, where I burnt most of my cash on some wacky stuff and souvenirs before retiring in the hotel for the night… ahhz… a nice, comfortable bed again! XD
Day 10, 2 December 2005
WAHH… time passes so fast man! Last day already! Sigh…
In the morning, we went to the elephant camp and we watched the elephant show there. Also, we had our elephant ride. Was rocky, but definitely fun and exciting *Eugene didn’t suffer from motion sickness, thank god*. =) Haha… anyway, it was indeed a refreshing experience overall. After lunch, we went to see a cottage industry. The one we visited was making umbrellas (the paper types). Fascinating, but got pretty boring after awhile… sigh.
After that, the last 50 minutes of our time was spent doing some last minute shopping and an early dinner at Airport Plaza. Haha… was idling all day long, until I finally decided to burn my last 600 baht on a Nike cap, to replace the other cap which I so carelessly lost when it flew off my head as I stuck it out of the song-tiaw… ON THE OPEN HIGHWAY *now that’s stupid* o.0…
Lalalala… all good things come to an end, as we approached the Chiang Mai International Airport. Eh, cool! Our PRC frens came to send us off!!!! How nice! XD Hahaha… it was a touching moment for all of us, as we etch that memory into our hearts, knowing that this may possibly be the last time we see each other again… *cry* I dowan to go back to Singapore, I wanna stay in Chiang Mai a bit longer!!! Nooooooo…
I will miss everyone here, Pi-Jyap, Pi-Puii, Aom, Mint, Fai, Peacock, Oak, Jo... I WILL NEVER FORGET THE FUN TIMES WE HAD IN CHIANG MAI THAILAND!
Onboard the plane TR129, and arrived back in Singapore at 11.30pm. Late, and I am dead beat, tired, but satisfied…
**********************************
All this felt like a dream.
I wanna relive it. God, let me relive it!
LONG LIVE LOVE CHIANG MAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD
*tired*

All this felt like a dream.
I wanna relive it. God, let me relive it!
LONG LIVE LOVE CHIANG MAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD
