Omg, crazy nut.
Argh, I'm aching all over...
I DON'T WANT TO BOOK IN! =(
Every step you take,
Every move you make,
Every single day,
Every night you pray,
I'll be watching you,
Oh baby can't you see,
You belong to me?
You belong to me,
Delta Company.
Every reveille,
At five-thirty,
During SOC.
Every IPPT,
I'll be watching you,
Me and my buddy,
of Delta Wing.
Oh baby can't you see,
You belong to me?
You belong to me.
Delta Company.
I know, I know,
You have to go.
So hurry back home,
Because I miss you so. :)

Night cycling on Labour Day!!
Yes, I can't wait for next week. Seriously. Oh, and I am not referring to the upcoming 12-day section field camp in Tekong. That one is gonna be some serious shit, I think. >.<
Went to East Coast Park earlier on to recee the 51km night cycling route with Nat, Mikel, Jieshen, Gabriel. Zhao Ye, Wei Ling and Reico joined us earlier when we met up at Macs, but didn't come for the cycling. Everything was going pretty smoothly until Gab's bike chain snapped just before we entered Changi Village, and we wasted about an hour trying to get it fixed and sorting things out with the bike rental store owner. In the end, Gab, Mikel and I had to break off from the route at Kembangan MRT station and return to the store to return the bikes, and at the same time obtain a bike chain for Jieshen to tie his bike at the store when he returned - he and Nat continued to finish the entire cycling route. I left at around midnight, after having supper at Subway with the other two guys and giving Gab tips for SITEST and IPPT. Haiz
I could almost picture myself in his shoes just a couple of months earlier, though I'd imagine his training must have been a lot tougher than mine (Cougar >> Hawk...?)
Anyway, shall try preparing some notes regarding night cycling safety, and the hydration plan... putting the skills I learnt in OCS to good use. For once, I SEE THE IMPORTANCE OF THE TSR! =O

Fidgety thoughts
My parents are still not convinced in my decision to choose Brown. My dad keeps saying stuff behind my back, even though he tells me "well, good that you've thought through and decided" when I ask him for advice.
No matter. My life is set for the next 10 years. I don't need to worry about a single thing for now... just need to concentrate on commissioning. >.<

Life goes on
Well, it's as hectic as usual in camp. Another hectic week gone, and 34 weeks to go...
Just a couple of summary pointers for this week:
Finished with my NUS Medicine test and interview. To be honest, I think I messed up both, particularly the essay test. Ah well...
I just realized how shiok it feels to book out for one entire day (for interviews and such), somewhere in the middle of the week. Went back to school to see a couple of people on the day I booked out for medicine stuff. Haha.
And I finally passed IPPT (when I should have since Day 1)! Like, WOW. -.-
Still having very little admin time every night. I barely have half an hour each night to settle whatever admin shit there is for the day, which includes washing up, tidying up my bunk, setting up my bed, replying important emails, and other prep work for activities the next day. Hope things loosen up a bit towards pro term...
I am damn scared for SOC. Seriously.
4km mid-day route march was outstanding! The first time I was in a march where the platoon sang all the way. Even our instructors were singing together with us. Amazing feeling - though I doubt the spirit will last through the subsequent few klicks of march.
I'm torn between deciding on Brown and Duke. Brown for it's super-liberal curriculum and biomed research opportunities (and because it's an Ivy x) ), and Duke for it's ranking and academic standing. HOW? =(
Ah eff, I've so many precis to read over this weekend - or what's left of it. Screw this.
Looking forward to book out again next week... for dentistry test and interview and hopefully another interview with MOE. Now, it seems as if I am looking for reasons to book out whenever I can - not that I hate lessons in camp, but the feeling of seeing society again makes me feel alive somewhat. o.O
Unfortunately, the need for us to make-up for the classes we missed just sucks big time. Ergh.
Section field camp after Labour Day... and it's return to Pulau Tekong! xD

Booking in...
The booking in siansation has never hit me so strongly before.
Last time when I booked into Tekong during the BMT days, it was just the "ok I'm going back into the same old shit again" kind of feeling. It's just sian. But now, booking back into SAFTI MI is more than just that feeling...
Somehow, I fear booking back in. All the responsibilities, expectations, trainings (both physical and mental), regimentation, discipline, all increasing day by day as we officer cadets mature. Sigh.
35 more weeks to go.. and I've yet to pass my IPPT and SOC.
Gah. The feeling is so depressing. -.-

I just wanna...
Give up.
The strain is amazing. For 5.5 (or more) days a week, I am expected to give my fullest, unceasing attention to all needs and expectations of officer cadets in OCS, on top of being physically fit, technically competent, and mentally sound. For the rest of my weekends, I have to keep up with changes going on in the outside world, handle administrative backlog which piled up during my time in camp, and prepare for admission interviews and other things.
Which makes me sort of glad that I am already set on taking A*STAR's scholarship to go US to study.
But all this remaining stuff to clear off... and the prospects of being confined to make up for all the lessons I am about to miss due to some interviews, is certainly not heartening at all.
... I can't wait for the next two weeks to be over - or rather, I can't wait for the moment when I can fully dedicate myself to one thing without having to worry about the others - be it NS or academics.
I must do at least six chin ups by the end of next week...
